Demo 14 Launch!


Worked very hard on this update, hopefully it paid off <3 Tell me what you think of it in the comments :) The file size increased from ~1.5GB to ~1.9GB something, just to show you how much content I tried fitting into this thing.

New Content:

  • Luna! Our shopkeeper, voted for a long time ago, is finally here. She's the first NPC you can talk to, and you'll be able to interact with her through three separate events that I've written for her in the new dialogue system. There are a ton of passages in each one and I'll keep adding dialogues with Kaly, Luna and Lily throughout the next week.
  • Dialogue system: THIS THING SUCKED TO BUILD. And not in a good way either. I'll finally be able to start adding interactions with every NPC you can think of, and now the last of the 'big' core systems of the game are done. Took me ages to get this to the way I wanted it to be, and I'm now starting to improve how I can edit and write dialogue files in the Unity inspector.
  • Four new scenes for Luna with a lot of variations and more on the way (some of them are already on the Patreon page). I didn't want the update to be delayed even longer, so I decided to write the rest of her dialogues for next week.
  • Reworked shop, where you can now sell some of your old gear and more items spawn, organized by rarity. There's a bit of eye candy too, with Luna's big boobs :3
  • One new masturbation scene for Quinn, which triggers with very high corruption, and cumming variants for the previous masturbation scenes.
  • A couple new status effects, new items including a leash that can be locked on you, one new spell gained by equipping one of the new items and probably a few things I've forgotten about!
  • Since I didn't write a devlog for the christmas demo, there is a christmas outfit you could get there that won't drop anymore, an exclusive for those who played it. But I'm thinking about leaving a small chance for them to spawn in Luna's shop, I want to hear from you on this!
  • Lots of new sounds that will play mixed with the older ones during sex scenes, some during dialogues.

Cosmetic Changes:

  • You can now see trait progression on the top-left corner of the screen, while sex scenes go on. The descriptions for each trait will also show up there, just in case some of you love reading the lewd bits of text there, like i do :3
  • I've added visual support for dice rolls, I'll add visuals for the mimic/chest proximity checks as soon as I can. That way you won't need to read the small text popup on the top-right corner.
  • You can now see how much equipping a new item will affect your current stats. I could find a few minor innacuracies (some values off by 1) and I'll figure it out pretty soon. Only one that I know of, currently, it's the ropes, other than that I fixed all I could find.
  • Added color highlighting for text in some parts of the game. Still needs some work but is mostly working.

Bug Fixes:

  • Added code for un-stucking players and enemies from fences.
  • Fixed some audio files not being affected by volume settings.

Will there be a way to toggle between old and new quin at some point?

Heya Heya!! 

What an amazing and full update! How can you even do something grand and good like this, in such little time? Truly marvelous!

As to the bug of characters getting stuck in the wall: It's fixed!... mostly. Happened only once or twice in the 15 rounds, so let's consider it fixed!

Luna and the dialogue/necessary corruption feels like a true next step in the game life, development! Amazing progression, very nice scenes with Luna + the final box, and flavor text, but I was sad to see that they are not included in the gallery :(

The item stats cosmetic display is extremely useful, and while the trait progression isn't "useful", I love it! To see the bar increasing and the text/traits become more depraved, very hot. 

About the christmas items: Such a shame for it to go to waste! I support the idea of having it on the shop as a rare drop, and also: I support having a choice in the main menu to alternate between the seasonal maps! (So, choose if normal or christmas-themed gameplay) 

If not in your mind yet, may I make two (more) suggestions? Well, here's the first: Add a "non pause" option in the settings, so the timer to the next wave isn't stopped when browsing through the shop, to make it harder. And talking about harder, the second suggestion: Everytime the game completes a full spin (All 15 rounds + Lily and the Bunnygoons), and it returns to wave 1 again, add +15% health and damage dealt by the NPCs, and +5% speed (With infinite scaling of Quinn's traits too, ofc), maybe the two of those combined in a "Choose difficulty! tab, along with the combat and grapple escape difficulties. 

I don't know if I was (un)lucky on this playthough or if it's a bug because of the changes near the chests program lines, but I shall point out: None of the chests I found were mimics! Not only on the intelligence check, but at all, since after round 1, all normal chests. 

And I feel like the hitboxes in Kaly's den are smaller now (Less chance of being grabbed in mud/magic vines), and also I feel like the bunnygoons have become easier to deal with. These are not criticisms or anything, I just wanted to ask: Was anything actually changed or am I just tripping?

I'd say giving the Xmas items a small chance to appear in the shop is a good way of implementing it, means the work you put into making the items doesn't go to waste, only available on a singular build,  but it's still rare since it's not in season.
